Job Title: Quality Assurance Officer  
Location: Southwest London
Salary:  £32,000 - £35,000 per annum subject to experience  
Job Type: Full-time Day Shift
Working Hours: 4 on 4 off / 7am – 7pm

Quality Assurance Officer – Food Manufacturing

We are looking for highly engaged and motivated Quality Assurance Officer to join our growing technical team. Working alongside the Technical Team Leader, you will play a key role in upholding and verifying food safety and technical standards across the site. You’ll ensure compliance with both company policies and customer expectations, maintaining high standards and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure technical and food safety standards are maintained in line with company and customer requirements.
  • Conduct GMP audits, hygiene swabs, and procedural checks to verify compliance.
  • Support investigations into non-conformances, customer complaints, and out-of-specification results.
  • Oversee the environmental, product micro, and chemical monitoring programmes.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, supporting the technical function.
  • Verify hygiene documentation and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
  • Conduct line start-up checks, shelf-life assessments, and product quality evaluations.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate technical documentation and supplier compliance records.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in a similar Quality Assurance or Technical role within food manufacturing (preferably FMCG).
  • Strong understanding of food safety, technical compliance, and audit processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments, influencing and supporting teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to analyse data and contribute to process improvements.
  • A proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to coach and develop colleagues.
